Seedance 3, often written Seedance 3.0, is the expected next major version of ByteDance Seed's video model. As of November 2, 2026, ByteDance has neither announced nor released it. The newest Seedance is 2.5, launched on July 31, 2026.

Seedance 3 questions
Not yet. As of November 2, 2026, ByteDance hasn't announced or released Seedance 3 (or 3.0). The newest model is Seedance 2.5, released on July 31, 2026, and that's the one you can use here now.
There's no official date. Past gaps between Seedance releases ran from about two to five and a half months, but that's history, not a schedule, and the next version may not even be called 3.0. We update this page when ByteDance says something.
Not until ByteDance releases it and it's offered through the API we use. Then it appears in the model menu next to 2.5 and 2.0, and the same credits pay for it. A site that says it runs Seedance 3 today is running a different model.
Unconfirmed. Those claims come from February 2026 social-media leaks that the press reported, not from ByteDance. The release that followed, Seedance 2.5, makes 30 seconds per generation, which ByteDance's own apps can extend.
Seedance 2.5 for clips longer than 15 seconds, Seedance 2.0 for short clips up to 1080P, and 2.0 Fast to test ideas cheaply. All three take text, frames and references and generate sound.
